The Everett Dance Company 'Competitive Company' plays a pivotal role in fulfilling our dance mission and nurturing the growth of aspiring dancers beyond the confines of the studio. Drawing from personal experience and understanding the significance of competitions, we recognise the profound impact they have on a dancer's development and journey toward excellence.
As individuals who have grown up competing and have firsthand knowledge of the transformative power of competitions, we understand the importance of these experiences in shaping dancers both artistically and personally. Competitions provide a platform for dancers to test their skills, push their limits, and refine their craft in a competitive yet supportive environment.
Our competitive Company is for students who are dedicated to excellence and ready to invest significant time into reaching their full potential. Along with intensive training in technique and performance, these dancers participate in various competitions throughout the year representing The Everett Dance Company. These opportunities let them shine as soloists, duos, trios, and groups.
Being part of a dance competition team comes with various expectations that encompass commitment, behavior, skill development, and teamwork. Below are three of our most important expectations for members of the EDC competitive company.

Alongside our normal timetable we have our EDC competitive team training class. This will cover all essential aspects of competition work. This includes training stamina, technique, quality of movement, and overall performance, in addition to rehearsing group dances and preparing for upcoming competitions.
